Privacy Policy
Last updated: [publish date] · Draft, pending legal review
1.Information we collect
- Account information: email, display name, profile photo.
- Game content: games you host or join, checkpoints, challenges, chat messages, and photo/video proof you submit.
- Location data: your device's GPS location while actively playing a game, used to confirm you've reached a checkpoint. We do not track your location outside of active gameplay.
- Usage data: how you use the app (screens viewed, features used), collected via PostHog to help us improve the product.
- Payment data: handled entirely by Paddle, our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.
2.How we use it
To run games (matching players to checkpoints, verifying arrival, enabling host review), to provide your post-game recap, to improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns, to process payments and maintain your credit balance, and to communicate with you about your account or games you're part of.
3.Who we share it with
| Provider | What they handle |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, and file storage |
| Cloudflare (R2 / Stream) | Photo and video storage/playback |
| PostHog | Product usage analytics (behavioral, not game content) |
| Paddle | Payment processing, as merchant of record |
We do not sell your personal information.
4.How long we keep it
- Photos: kept long-term as part of your permanent game recap.
- Video: kept for 48 hours after a game ends on the Play tier, or 30 days on Unlock/Equip, then permanently deleted. You can save your own copy to your device at any time before then.
- Content flagged for review may be retained longer than the above while we investigate.
5.Marketing use of your content
We only use game photos/videos in our own marketing if the host of that specific game opted in, and you were told this when you joined. See Section 6 of the Terms of Service.
6.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at amy@ideazone.co to exercise any of these rights.
7.Children's privacy
The Service requires account holders to be at least 16 (see Terms of Service §3). Where a parent or guardian creates and manages an account on behalf of a younger child, the parent or guardian is responsible for the account and its use.
8.International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.
9.Changes and contact
We'll update this policy as the Service changes and post the new version here. Questions: amy@ideazone.co.
